Monaco Red Cross Ball: Friday 24th July 2020, Sporting d’eta Club, Salle des Etoiles, Monaco
The Monaco Red Cross began organising fund-raising events as soon as it was founded in 1948 by Prince Louis II of Monaco. The first Monaco Red Cross Ball was held that same year, with the young Prince Rainier III presiding.
Through this fabulous ball, the Monaco Red Cross expresses its gratitude towards its generous donors and pays tribute to the work it has been able to carry out with the donations, which finance its actions both locally and internationally.
The artists who have already taken centre stage at the Monaco Red Cross Gala in the Salle des Etoiles include Maurice Chevalier, Ella Fitzgerald, Sacha Distel, Joséphine Baker, Line Renaud, Frank Sinatra, Julio Iglesias, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Anastacia and more recently Tom Jones, Joe Cocker, Eros Ramazzotti and Bob Sinclar.
Amid a glamorous and prestigious ambience, the ball begins with the traditional tombola followed by a sumptuous meal with summer flavours, after which H.S.H. Prince Albert II opens the ball.
The first notes of the concert to raise funds for the Monaco Red Cross are then heard on the stage of the legendary Salle des Etoiles.
The traditional fireworks then light up the Monaco sky, to the delight of guests. This marks the close of a wonderful ball that still inspires the dreams of so many.
